Gabrielle Giffords took this photograph of the DADT repeal signing ceremony. Her support as a “blue dog” helped a great deal. The LGBT Community helped her become the only Congresswoman in an R district to win this year.

This project uses a first-of-its-kind Leadership Institute documentary film that interviews elected officials who have come out while in office and shares their issues, experiences, and rewards from both a professional and personal perspective.
