Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Caucus

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people have a long history participating in Arizona's Democratic Party. In 2008 the Arizona Democratic Party formally recognized the formation of the LGBT Caucus.

The LGBT Caucus fully participates inside the Democratic Party to ensure the views and needs of Arizona's LGBT community are heard and met.

The LGBT Caucus holds regular meetings in conjunction with the state party's quarterly meetings. Check our calendar for dates and locations. The meetings rotate around the state.

Governed by an Executive Committee the caucus is open to ideas and participation by LGBT and allied people from all walks of life throughout Arizona.

At the present time there are no membership dues required.

Classified as a "527" organization the LGBT Caucus is solely funded by individuals like you. Please consider making a contribution today.

The LGBT Caucus is devoted to advancing equal rights for all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.  For  additional information about the structure of the caucus, check our our Official Bylaws.

Our focus include:

1. The LGBT Caucus will participate in the policy decisions and the outreach programs of the ADP to maximize support of the Democratic Party and its endorsed candidates.
   
2. The LGBT Caucus will recruit and support LGBT candidates for elected office.
3. The LGBT Caucus will recruit and support LGBT candidates for ADP leadership positions at the state and local levels.
4. The LGBT Caucus will recruit and support LGBT candidates for the delegation to the Democratic National Convention and Committees.
