Dear LGBT Caucus Members

According to caucus Bylaws the Nominating Committee has met and put forward the following slate of candidates:
- Chair C.J. Carenza
- Vice-Chair Barbara McCullough-Jones
- Secretary Trish Rensick
- Treasurer Bob Bland
In addition to the above names, the Nominating Committee may make additional nominations before the reorganization meeting, and nominations will be accepted from the floor at the reorganization meeting. If you wish to submit your name, or nominate another for one of the offices listed above, please notify Paul Durham, Chair of the Nominating Committee, so we may share your intent with the other caucus members in advance of the meeting contact Paul by e-mail at paul@paulwdurham.com. Voting at the reorganization meeting will be open to current members of the LGBT Caucus.
Following the elections, the newly elected Chair will be appointing the membership of the four standing committees. If you would like to become more involved with the Caucus, but don’t want to be elected to an office, consider becoming a member of the Fundraising Committee, Membership Committee, Rules & Bylaws Committee or the Regional Advisory Committee. Complete descriptions can be found on our website. Click on about us, and view the official Bylaws. According to the Bylaws, certain officers are automatically members of specific standing committees, and additional committee members are appointed by the Chair. If you would like to be considered for a standing committee, please contact the newly elected Chair promptly after the January 22 meeting.
Once the Elections are over we will move on to our general meeting with a host of topics. Please plan on sticking around and learning how to be involved and work within the Democratic Party for the rights of the LGBT community.
Sincerely,
Paul Durham
Chair, LGBT Caucus Nominating Committee
