Bob Bland Guestbook
Please remember Bob Bland and sign his guestbook.
I met Bob at our GLF 40 anniversary reunion in SF during Pride. He spoke some about his involvement in GLF. He seemed like a wonderful man. Mark
Dear Bob,
I miss you very much. Your wisdom and experience ran deep. Arizona's lgbt community has lost a true warrior and good friend. I will always be grateful that you shared your love of community with us. I never saw you without a smile - it was inspiring.
Rock on and raise hell in the hereafter, Bob.
Respectfully, your friend,
Barb
My sincere condolences to Bob's family and friends...we recently met via the Gay Liberation Front facebook page and then in person for the 40th anniversary reunion and march of the GLF during the Gay Pride march in 2009 in San Francisco...we shared a common history in the GLF...I was a founding member of the Washington, D.C. GLF/Skyline Faggots Collective in 1970...
he was an amazing man of passion, humor and energy - a one of a kind of guy. Bob's death is a great loss for those who knew and loved him and for the progressive movement...Michael Ferri, Whidbey Island, WA
To those of you in Arizona who had the good fortune to work with Bob and see his passion, you have my sorrow. I've looked back at some of Bob's emails and he certaily was proud of you his fellow partners in this struggle. His encouragement and and emotional support will fondly remembered by us all.

I will personally miss Bob, but recognize that Bisbee, Cochise County and the Democratic Party will miss him more. I'm so sorry that he didn't have more time to enjoy the wonderful Arizona weather in his orange home on a hill in Bisbee, and more time to fight for the causes in which he believed. Farewell, Bob.
Bob was real smart and easy to know. Condolences to family, and friends who knew him better than I.
Bob provided a commitment to grassroots activism and motivation beyond Cochise County. The best way we can remember him is to continue his work with the same passion. We have our Rainbow Flag at half mast in honor of him.
Tonight, I will pay tribute to my late friend and mentor by carrying the rainbow LGBT flag in his name, Bob Bland. I will read a letter that I wrote to Bob and when finished I will release it into the sky, for him to read it in heaven. As a Young Democrat, Bob Bland took me under his wing and shaped me into the person I am today, politically. I feel truly blessed to have known Bob. Although I am not Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender, I will be proud tonight to wave the rainbow flag in honor of our friend Bob Bland.
Bob was truly the most energetic, hard-working person I ever met. He was keen in the establishment of the LGBT Caucus in the Arizona Democratic Party and was our treasurer from day one. His accomplishments are many and all were for the betterment of everyone in his community. He was self-less and a man driven by what he felt was right and good. He will truly be missed by his many, many friends.
